Community is our middle name. It is our heart and in our DNA as a church to reach into the neighborhood to show the love of Christ. At CCM, we are committed to following the pattern and example of Jesus, which was to meet practical needs, and then meet spiritual needs. Here are only some of the ways the CCM Community Outreach Teams are reaching out to those in need:
Each Thanksgiving we serve around 400 meals to those who are less fortunate.
This past Christmas we wrapped and distributed over 40 presents for needy kids. We passed on another 250 toys to Toys for Tots at the Chick-Fil-A in Estero.
As the weather turns colder in January we raise money to buy and distribute blankets to the families of migrant labor camps in Bonita Springs.
Through a unique partnership with the Olive Garden Restaurant at Coconut Point Mall in Estero, CCM receives several hundred pounds of food per week to our food pantry ministry which is redistributed to families in the community and to other organizations such as Teen Challenge.
Every Tuesday, our CCM Nursing Home Ministry Team brings church to the various nursing homes in the area.
CCM is looking forward to developing a C.E.R.T. (Community Emergency Response Team) that will be able to respond to local emergencies such as a hurricane, or take the training learned to assist in other areas of the country, or even participate in disaster relief in the U.S. or abroad.
As we provide for others, the door is open to share the message of the gospel with those we come in contact with.
